CLOUD COMPUTING SOLUTIONS

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform that enables businesses to build, host, and manage applications and infrastructure without relying on on-site hardware. It provides scalable, on-demand resources through Microsoft’s global network of data centres, allowing organisations to adapt quickly while reducing the cost and complexity of maintaining physical systems. At TMB, we design, deploy, and support Azure environments tailored to the needs of hospitality businesses, helping you move critical systems to the cloud in a secure, controlled, and future-ready way.

Azure provides a flexible foundation for running business systems, applications, and services in the cloud.

Key capabilities

  • Scalable infrastructure: Increase or decrease compute, storage, and networking resources as your requirements change
  • Global availability: Deploy services across Microsoft’s worldwide data centre network for reliability and performance
  • Flexible environments: Support a wide range of operating systems, applications, and development frameworks
  • Cost efficiency: Pay only for the resources you use, avoiding large upfront infrastructure costs
  • Hybrid capability: Integrate cloud services with existing on-premise systems where needed

Azure enables organisations to transition from traditional on-site systems to cloud-based infrastructure without disruption.

What this includes

  • Migration of existing servers and applications into Azure environments
  • Deployment of new systems within secure, cloud-hosted infrastructure
  • Removal of reliance on physical server hardware and associated maintenance
  • Centralised management of systems across multiple sites and locations

This approach allows systems to be more resilient, easier to manage, and better suited to multi-site environments such as hotels.

Data Centre

Azure provides built-in capabilities to support business continuity and minimise downtime in the event of an incident.

Key benefits

  • Regular backups of systems, data, and configurations
  • Rapid recovery of services following hardware failure or system disruption
  • Reduced reliance on physical intervention or on-site engineering
  • Protection against data loss caused by system failure or cyber incidents

A well-designed Azure environment ensures that your systems can be restored quickly and reliably, reducing operational impact.

TMB Photoshoot 11

TMB believe a cloud-first strategy is often the best solution for a hotel. Hosted services are relevant for hotels looking to run systems without relying on on‑site server equipment, or for those planning to host existing or future systems within a cloud environment, rather than maintaining physical infrastructure on‑site.

Yes. Hosted systems can remove the need for physical server equipment on‑site, helping reduce the cost and effort associated with maintaining and upgrading local infrastructure.

Connectivity can be provided as a standalone service or alongside other TMB technology services, depending on the needs of the hotel.

Hosted systems are regularly backed up as part of the hosting environment, helping protect hotel systems and allowing them to be restored if an issue occurs, without relying on on‑site intervention. Newer BCDR (business continuity and disaster recovery) solutions means hosted solutions can be backed up and tested in the cloud.
